This Cast Iron Cylinder is a core component of the hand pump assembly, engineered for durability and consistent water discharge in deep well and community water supply installations. The cylinder body is manufactured from Cast Iron, painted on the outside for protection against weathering, and precision lined from the inside with a seamless Brass liner of 63.5mm Inner Diameter, ensuring smooth, low-friction piston movement and reduced wear over extended use. It is fitted with Gun-metal valve components, chosen for their strength and corrosion resistance under continuous water contact, along with nitrile rubber components (cups/washers) that provide reliable sealing on each pumping stroke. The cylinder delivers a discharge capacity of 15 liters per 40 strokes per minute, offering efficient water output suitable for daily community and household use. This cylinder assembly is also available modified with an open top cap for India Mark III pumps, to suit a 65mm N.B. G.I. or PVC riser pipe, allowing easier maintenance and replacement of nitrile rubber components without disturbing the full riser column. It functions as a dual-purpose cylinder, compatible for lifting water through both submersible pumps and hand pumps, making it a versatile and dependable choice for borewell water lifting systems.
